We ran a survey to investigate what you like about iteraplan and what you are missing. You can find here the survey results.
With this survey we want to gather feedback about the usage of iteraplan and how we can improve iteraplan and our service offerings.
Here is a list of the features mentioned in the survey with detailed descriptions:
| Name in survey | Desciption |
| Spreadsheet Reports | Querying the data of elements (e.g. Information Systems) and relations to other elements; Output either as HTML or as Excel; |
| Graphical Reports/Diagrams | There are four different types of diagrams (information flow, landscape, portfolio, masterplan) highly configurable. The output is Microsoft Visio and all configurations/queries can be saved to run reports faster. |
| Excel Export | Exporting elements into an Excel document with all associated data of the elements |
| Bulk Updates | Updating elements and their relations in bulk. |
| Consistency Checks | There are consistency checks for checks of consistent data in the database to ensure high quality and hint at week spots within the data. |
| Last modification logging | iteraplan supports a last modification logging where the last user, who edited an element is shown at the bottom of the page. |
| Different roles and views | iteraplan offers different user accounts with roles and unique rights. It is configurable what different roles can see and do within iteraplan. |
| Easy to use (insert & edit data) | This describes the web frontend for editing the different elements. |
| EAM elements in data model | This is about the pre-configured meta-model of iteraplan. iteraplan offers a superset of elements and relations between these elements, helping with a quick and easy start into EAM. |
| Extendability based on custom attributes | iteraplan offers the possibility to extend elements with custom attributes in four basic types (enumeration, text, numeric, date and users). The attributes can be grouped and limited for specific roles only. |
| Name in survey | Desciption | |
| Improved Business Mapping btw. systems, processes, functions, objects, units | Enable different kind of relations between all business elements (functions, objects, processes, units, products), allowing single relations and multiple connections. | |
Positioning in information flow diagram | The user should be able to determine the position of elements in the information flow diagram. A possible solution could be to upload a generated and changed diagram, which gets filled with the new data.
Cluster diagram as a new report | Show clusters of elements (e.g. a functional based on relations. Elements can be of different types, e.g. business functions and objects get clustered according to their relation to business processes.
Response time and overall performance | Improve the current response time and performance in reading, editing, querying and exporting.
Export data in XML, CSV, ... | Offer of further export data structures
Import data via File-Upload | Import data via an File-Upload to start with already existing data and to enable an exchange of data with other tools
Role-based saved queries | With iteraplan 2.2 you will be able to save queries for diagrams. These saved queries will be available for all users. With this new feature it will be possible to specify the users/roles who should be able to select them.
Table for assignment of relations e.g. btw. objects and systems | Assign relations between different elements in the format of an matrix or table, which enables a bulk editing.
Use relations for colors in diagrams | iteraplan 2.2 offers the possibility to use status and custom attributes for coloring of elements in diagrams. This should also be possible for relations between elements.
For your effort we'll offer you a special version of the iteraplan Community Edition, containing many features usually only available in iteraplan Enterprise Edition. Amongst other things, the extensive possibilities of configuring graphical reports according to your needs are included. Usually this is only part of the Enterprise Edition.
